THE WEDDING OF SHAWEEN & AREE AT DANESFIELD HOUSE, MARLOW, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
Set high on a hill overlooking the River Thames, between Marlow and Henley, Danesfield House Hotel was a stunning venue for Aree and Shaween's June wedding. With its pale grey facade and opulent interior design, leading out onto sweeping lawns, lavender gardens and panoramic views over the river, this has to be one of my favourite wedding venues.
The room where the ladies' preparations took place was a frenzy of activity and provided plenty of opportunities for some candid shots. Meanwhile, downstairs the wedding ceremony room was decorated with pale pink hydrangeas and huge candle lanterns, and the reception marquee looked ethereal, with some lovely attention to detail, including a row of decorative white birdcages hanging from the ceiling from which the guest could read the table seating plan.
The Bride looked stunning in her Vera Wang wedding dress and jewel-encrusted shoes.
After a beautiful ceremony, we headed outside for some shots of the couple in the grounds of the hotel, before rejoining the guests for drinks on the patio.
In the marquee, the guests were treated to a dance show, performed by the Groom, best man and ushers, which was both hilarious and exceptionally well-rehearsed. This certainly put everyone in the party spirit and the dance floor was subsequently packed until midnight!
A superb firework show was another surprise treat for the guests, making this an exceptionally fun-filled and magical day, and an absolute pleasure to tell this wedding story in pictures.
